At BehavioSec we believe that great security can be achieved without sacrificing the user experience. The security is in the unique way that the user enters information, similar to a digital fingerprint. The unique identifier is your behavior.
First Steps
Press Register, then enter your account information. You can use nicknames. Memorize user name and password.
After you have created an account, you can sign in to our webservice by pressing Sign in. Enter user name and password. After confirmation the credentials are checked and if successful, you will enter the next view, where you can enter an alphanumeric security code and a numeric PIN. Every time you type, behavioral data are collected and sent to our server. Using this behavioral data we recognize the user.Frequently asked questions
What does BehavioSec technology (actually) do?
Behavioral Biometrics is the measurement of human behavioral characteristics, such as gestural, voice, key stroke dynamics, mouse movements, which are unique to each individual, in order to verify a person’s identity.
How do I build up my profile?
Log into the system and complete at least 10 transactions to build the profile. Keep in mind that in real life the user would not know that technology is collecting Behavioural Biometric data in the background. There would be no login specifically for this purpose.
What is a good username for the demo?
Pick something that is longer than 6 characters or more and are a combination of letters and numbers. AAA or 123 is NOT a sufficient username and will affect the demo result.
How is the behavioral data stored?
Most online services store the behavioral data on their own data centres according to their end user data policies. The behavioral comparison is then only done individually per user and not between different users. This helps our customers to be able to trust that the user in the other end is who they say they are.
Where does BehavioSec stand when it comes to privacy concerns?
We commissioned a legal memorandum with international law firm, Osborne Clarke earlier this year, which concluded that behavioral biometric technology enhances the contractual relationship between a bank and its customer.
Where is this technology being used today?
BehavioSec protect millions of online accounts from financial fraud on a daily basis. Mainly web or mobile banking applications are using our service to protect your identity
Are there any Performance related issues?
The solution is very lightweight using the latest web technologies and machine learning techniques to assess your individual typing rhythm and mouse movements when interacting with a BehavioSec enabled site.
What happens if I become a faster typist or if I break my arm?
BehavioSec will adapt to the changes in the users behavior. By allowing small variances in the current input compared to the profile it will allow the user to gradually change the behavior. BehavioSec is studying the behavior as a whole and by looking at multiple aspects of the behavior a user can fail (depending on the degree of the failure) on some of them as long as the others are showing that it is the correct user. On drastic changes such if the user breaks an arm the administrator has to temporarily disable affected profile or to lower the sensitivity of the software. This is similarily to a user resetting their password
Is it possible for an intruder to taint the behavioral profile by learning it the wrong behavior by logging back in after a detection?
To make sure that an incorrect user could taint the behavioral profile BehavioSec puts all incoming data into a quarantine. It is not until the data has been declared as valid that it will enter the profile. When an intruder is detected all data in the quarantine is removed.
